Services

I am a writer and editor primarily serving the Evangelical Christian market. I craft articles, devotionals, reviews, blog posts, essays, interviews, features, Bible studies, and the like. I can also do content editing. On a case-by-case basis, I will consider tackling book-length projects.

As for freelance writing assignments, a few topics I’m especially interested in are church revitalization, spiritual warfare, lament, living as an introvert, poetry, Christian living, men’s issues, small groups, Bible engagement, lay theology, communications, and leadership.

What I don’t do are resumes or write about sports! I also don’t provide writing or editing services for fiction, poetry, or drama. And I absolutely will not do any ghostwriting. If I write it, I need to be credited as the writer. I will consider credited collaborations and co-authoring.

Pricing

My preferred rate for freelance writing is $0.25 per word with a minimum of $150 per article up to 600 words. The rate should increase as more research (interviews, etc,) is required.

However, I will accept your periodical’s standard freelancing rates if I choose to write for you.

On special projects, I aim to price fairly and keep it simple. Rates are always negotiable. Let’s talk about your needs before we talk about pricing.

Fun fact!

I was the Project Editor for the edition of Football for Dummies Sheldon Cooper (actor, Jim Parsons) used in the November 2, 2009 “Cornhusker Vortex” episode of The Big Bang Theory TV show.
